Make an Impact on The Internet!

Hi all and welcome to another review!

As stated in the title, this review is on one of my ultimate favorite Firefox Extensions, KGen Keyword Generator.  The add-on is basically a side bar containing many useful tools allowing users to see what keywords are being used strongly on visited websites. This information can than be used for your own websites.

To use KGen you simply select the “Scan It” link while your Firefox browser is on the website you are interested in. KGen will very quickly obtain all of the keywords being used on the site and will show useful information about these words.

The list of words obtained are not only useful keywords so you do have to sort of just filter out the words you are not interested in. This is a minor inconvenience if one at all.

There are 8 tabs to view and we will go through each one briefly and the tabs that are just too complex to explain will have an image showing the available information.

KGen Tabs List

#1 = List

The List Tab shows keyword position on the website, their weight and the amount of times they are repeated.

KGen List Tab

KGen List Tab

#2 = Stats

The Stats Tab shows the amounts of words collected, amounts of characters, percentages etrc. It takes all of the content and puts it into numbers. The image below explains it better than I can.

#3 = Cloud

The Cloud Tab is the one and only tab I am just not sure about. it does allow you to copy the source code into your clipboard but I am not so sure what else it does. If anyone knows please post.

#4 = Options

The Options Tab allows you to sort keywords using criteria that you select from a drop down menu.

#7 = URL

The URL Tab shows the weight of the Domain and path.

#8 = Ignore

The Ignore Tab allows you to ignore keywords you do not wish to obtain information on. All you have to do is simple double click on the words you want to remove from the list.

The KGen Firefox add-on allows you to research keywords on other sites with related content to the site you are working on. It allows you to do this very easily and quickly right from your browser. I strongly suggest grabbing this add-on if you perform search engine optimization.

Stay Strong and Live Long! Don’t forget to check out our online shopping mall for the greatest bargains on the net!

Hi all and welcome to another entry.  Lately it seems the only Firefox extensions I have been able to use have been those extensions related to SEO, Web Development and Web Administration so I figured it was time for a list and review!

I am going to discuss my favorite Firefox Extensions for SEO and Website Development.  I am not going to put them all into one blog entry.  Most entries will discuss just one extension but you never know.

For our first Website Development Extension I would like to post my thoughts on the Evernote Web Clipper Extension. This is one I find very useful and use every day so I thought it would make a great first entry.

#1 – Evernote Web Clipper 3.0.0.51093

I could not live without this extension now that I have grown used to it. Evernote allows you to directly copy a webpage or portion of a webpage to your Evernote account. You can have other computers and browsers and even your IPod all synced up to your Evernote account so when ever you find some data you want to spread around your systems it is as easy as pie!

You can paste any kind of data into your Evernotes including e-mail which I use every day. There are is an app for the IPod and I believe you can get an add on for Internet Explorer as well as Firefox.

If you use more than one computer or if you own an IPod you will find this extension useful. So far I have used only the free Evernote account but there is also a premium account that you may just find even more useful.

You can find out more by watching the video below and by following this link to Evernote and you can see the Firefox extension Here.

Check out this video on Evernote Web Clipper. I think you may find it helpful and even a bit entertaining.

There is no doubt about it that this extension is very useful for web developers and webmasters etc but I bet many people from other realms will also find this helpful.  The free version is just fine so check it out. If you don’t find it at all worth it’s beans than by all means please post about it here.

Apple IPOD Touch Review and More

I finally did it! It took me a while to get the nerve to go and spend the money on something I just wasn’t sure about but I did it and I am oh so happy I did! What a great purchase and product!

I did make a mistake though with my initial purchase and I ended up replacing my first Ipod. My first IPOd Touch was the 8 Gig model and considering I use mine mainly for videos and video podcasts the space was quickly filled up. I totally suggest going with the 16 Gig model at least. if you don’t have the money than wait until you do because if you like apps and video than 8 gigs will not be enough. trust me on this folks.

After I received the 16 Gig model the difference was amazing. You would think that another 8 gigs wouldn’t be that big of a change but it did make all of the difference in the world to me. I have found that with 16 Gigs I can have tons of applications and by tons I mean many. In addition I can have tons of music and hours and hours of video podcasts and I even have 6 episodes of Tudors an HBO original packed on with space left over. If I had money to spend I would have gladly gone with the 32 gig model but I am finding that 16 gigs is more than enough.

The IPod Touch felt at home in my hands the very first time I picked it up. I read no instructions or anything and I swear it felt like I had owned one for years. It is very easy to use, very compact and the video looks amazing.

The only issues I had were the lack of a charger and the crappy painful headphones. I purchased a decent but cheap pair of headphones right off from anonlinemall.com. I also purchased a plug in charger, a mobile charger, a case and some of those clear plastic screen protectors. I was so afraid to scratch this beautiful piece of hardware.

The first week I had with my brand new IPod I went a bit crazy with the apps and movies from Itunes. I just went and bought every game and utility I ran into. Don’t let this happen to you! Trust me, you start buying $3 apps and before you know it you have a giant chunk removed from your bank account… ouch…

Unfortunately I don’t really have any other mobile devices to compare the IPod too but I cannot think of a single negative about the IPod. I absolutely love it. The only negatives I have at all are with ITunes and the outragous prices of some of their movies and series. Nearly $40 for a season of an HBO or Showtime Series is way too much if you ask me.

If you would like to take media from Media Center or even DVD’s to play on your Ipod you can do so using the software in my last blog entry. Instead of buying all of this media it is great to just convert the media you already have.

I hear the next IPod to come out is going to have a built in Camera so I would wait to buy. The fact that they can improve this IPod even more is an awesome thing because I just love this thing! If you want an amazing deal than think about purchasing your Ipod using one of the links provided in this post. You will not find a better deal anywhere.

Thats about all I have for now folks. Please feel free to post your own reviews or thoughts here.

Thanks,

Here are some useful links

Decent but cheap headphones with Headset!! Under $5 and they work perfectly!

This is the Incipio Case I bought and the Screen Protectors are here as well. This case has a hard shell with a soft interior that actually will even protect your IPod from shock if you drop it.

Here are the chargers. There is a mobile charger for the car and a plug in charger for home and these are around $2!! I believe the Apple versions are around $30. I have been using these for over a month now with no problems.
