Well, this is a first for me but I have been looking forward to it. I actually had planned on doing a technology, development blog for some time. I thought maybe it would help me promote my sites but now I am thinking I could use it as sort of a stress release. I am also hoping some folks will give me a helping hand from time to time achieving some sort of success in the world of web design and development. I also look at a blog as a cheap form of education. We can teach other through experience.
I guess for this first post I should share a little about myself. I am 38 years old, married with 2 step kids. I live in a house in CT. In addition to my development business I also own a small cleaning company. My development business is called TalkandMore Web Development and Promotions Services. I named it after one of my websites, www.talkandmore.net .
This blog will basically talk about my daily life regarding my life as a web developer. I will talk about my own sites and the work I do on others, technology, gadgets, software and anything related to web development and technology. I will also talk about my daily struggle to achieve success. So far I have not even come close but maybe with this blog my life will turn around. My writing skills leave much to be desired so please feel free to let me know about my mistakes. I feel that knowledge is power and basically all I have at this point iin my life is the knowledge I obtain. Please feel free to add your view points and your tips. I look forward to learning all I can from everyone I meet.
Currently the main site I own that really has a chance is www.talkandmore.net. I have been working on this site for a couple years. It has had it’s ups and downs and I guess now would be a down. I created talkandmore with the idea that one site could have everything. I thought this site could be sort of a one stop site for everything. Unfortunately it doesn’t work that way. I am still hoping the site will succeed in some manner. Some other sites I own are a couple stores, www.dvdsandtapes.com , www.anonlinemall.com – a search engine submission site – www.seolater.com – an internet directory site www.afreeurl.com and an arcade site www.bulletarcade.com . I also own a bunch of domains and other sites that are either not developed or in the process. I look forward to talking about my work and I also look forward to hearing from other people in the industry. I am totally self taught and I do not pretend to be some kind of a guru. I am trying to learn all I can about coding etc but it is very difficult for me. I read and study on a daily basis.
I guess that is is for my first entry. I will post when ever I have time and something to post. I am not a writer but it is something I have always thought about and have always wanted to do.
