I have been doing sites for about 7 years and I started out almost exactly like you described here. it is also true that many success stories online today are from website owners that know nothing about web design at all but they were good at promotion and marketing.

I believe almost anyone can start a site and make some money if enough time and effort is put it.

Robby, Look around on the net for some sites that sell websites. If you look around you can find a site for under $50 and even way lower than that…
